Andrea Dixon-Seahorn, Ed. D. As a native of Kansas City, MO, Andrea received her undergraduate education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she obtained dual degrees in Liberal Arts and Elementary Education. After her first year of teaching and furthering her studies, she pursued a master’s degree in Library Science and later obtained an Education Specialist degree. In her career of almost 30 years, she has taught in the classroom, as well as fulfilled the roles of library media specialist, assistant principal, elementary school principal and executive director of elementary education.
Andrea completed her Doctorate in Education Leadership in 2019, which earned the distinction of Dissertation of the Year at William Woods University. As an educational consultant and thought leader, Andrea has designed and delivered exceptional, equity-centered professional learning for educators and school district leaders; presented at numerous conferences at the regional and state level; served as a panelist at a U.S. Department of Education convening; and co-developed the Missouri Equity Lab for the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.
As an inspirational speaker, Andrea has been sought out as the keynote, or a presenter at conferences, retreats, luncheons, and leadership summits. Andrea’s passion and purpose is to authentically inspire others to reach their fullest potential. Using her gifts to write insightfully and speak dynamically, Andrea empowers her audiences to implement strategic personal and organizational goals that yield successful outcomes.
